Roger Federer is BETTER than Rafael Nadal… admits Rafa’s uncle Toni

Toni Nadal coached his nephew since he was three and he has gone on to win 16 Grand Slam titles, including two this year – the French Open and the US Open.

Toni is set to step down this year with Carlos Moya replacing him as the key man in Rafa’s camp.

DO ROGER FEDERER AND RAFAEL NADAL HATE EACH OTHER? TRUTH REVEALED

The no.1 spot is still at stake for Team Nadal as they battle it out with Federer.

But Toni is in no doubt over who is currently the better player – and it’s not his nephew.

Roger Federer has made a change in his game, he has made a very intelligent change and now he is much more aggressive,” Toni told Spanish newspaper Cadena Ser.

“It is much harder to play against Roger, especially on fast courts.

“He is the best in history, I know few athletes who dominate his sport as much as Roger does.

“Rafael is also up there but there are other players who are also among the best.

“If in a few years Rafa continues to play well, Federer retires and Rafa wins more Grand Slams and we will talk, but I think now the best is Roger.”

Federer has won 19 Grand Slam titles while Nadal has 16 to his name.
