The readers of Total Film magazine have been voting in their thousands and now the ultimate poll of the greatest characters in movies has arrived.
Of the 100 who made the list, the Star Wars and Marvel franchises dominate with six characters each.
Meanwhile the longest running is James Bond, who has been going for 53 years to date– however he only came in fifth place.
Also 25% of those featured are women, with Alien’s Ellen Ripley highest in fourth. So what about the top three?
In third place was Han Solo, the favourite of the Star Wars characters, while Batman topped the superheroes in second.

Indy has movies up four places from the last time Total Film did the poll a decade ago. Back then Pirates of the Caribbean’s Captain Jack Sparrow was No 1, but now his ship has sunk down to 38th.
