Carroll, 28, has had to sit out West Ham‘s clash with Brighton tonight after being sent off against Burnley last weekend.
It meant tonight he swapped the pitch for pundity as he appeared alongside James Collins and Jamie Carragher on Sky Sports.
But his outfit – an oversized hooded top, skin tight jeans, a black cap and black coat – went down badly with viewers.
They took to Twitter to slam the striker and mock his choice of attire.
One wrote: “Andy Carroll looks like a fan who’s won a competition to take a penalty at half time #WHUBHA.”

Another jibed: “Andy carroll is only short of a sleeping bag and a paper cup.”
A fellow fan added: “West Ham’s James Collins looking like a 1920’s cockney barrow boy. Andy Carroll just a scruffy c**t.”
Collins, 34, is struggling with an ankle injury forcing him to miss the clash.
He was slammed too – Carragher at one point mocked him for looking like he was from TV series Peaky Blinders – while Twitter followers also got stuck in.
One wrote: “What the f**k are Andy Carroll and James Collins wearing!?!?”
Another said: “Andy Carroll looks like a homeless person. Is it part of their community work.”
While one Brighton fan mocked: “From a distance it looks like Andy Carroll is wearing a mini-dress!!”
A fellow fan tweeted: “Is that a hoodie or a dress that Andy Carroll is wearing?”
