Overwatch fans are nearing the end of Competitive Season 6, which has a shorter running time than usual.
Blizzard reduced the Competitive Season 6 running time from three months to two months earlier this summer.
Competitive Season 6 had an August 31 start date in the US, which because of the time difference, translated into a September 1 release date in the UK.
In theory, this means Season 6 will have an October 31 end date in the US.
However, with past Overwatch seasons ending alongside in-game events, Season 6 is more likely to finish alongside the end of the Halloween Terror event on November 1 – or the early hours of November 2 for UK fans.

The news comes as Blizzard hits another major Overwatch milestone.
Blizzard has confirmed that Overwatch has 35 million players and counting.
It’s unclear if this means sales or registered users, and if free weekend stats count towards the overall number.
Either way, it’s an impressive figure, and proof that the game is continuing to grow in popularity.
Overwatch had 20 million registered players at the same point last year, which shows how far the game has come.
