Justice League leak: Green Lantern for shock appearance? Here’s the big hint…

In what’s either a faux-pas or a simple inaccuracy, a promotion by TV comedy Big Bang Theory appears to have hinted that the Green Lantern WILL be making an appearance.

The show is running a competition – the Geekstakes – offering a fan the chance to attend the DC blockbuster’s premiere.

Users are tasked with spinning a wheel, seeing which superhero’s logo the arrow lands on.

Everyone’s there: Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Batman, The Flash… and the Green Lantern.

Since being spotted by eagle-eyed fans, the competition has not been removed or altered, so the possibility remains that the competition organisers have nothing in common with movie bosses and have no knowledge of the film’s content.

But is there now a very real possibility that there’ll be an unexpected extra player in the ensemble flick?

Ryan Reynolds played the role in the 2011 film of the same name – but his loyalty now to Marvel’s Deadpool more than likely rules him out. Armie Hammer has consistently downplayed speculation around his own involvement.

Justice League is out next month, and Gal Gadot – who plays Wonder Woman – has spoken out about its significance.

“This is the first time after many years that she’s working in a team again,” the actress said of her character.

“To make the world a better place.”

Ben Affleck, meanwhile, said: “Bruce [Wayne] is actively trying to find these superhumans that are out there.”

Ray Fisher, who plays Cyborg, said of his own alias: “Half man, half machine… Cyborg is the perfect combination of technology and the human heart.”

Justice League is out on November 17.
