The Telegraph are reporting that the match at the Emirates Stadium, which has yet to be set a date, is looking favourable to be played on Friday, December 22.
Talks between the two clubs, Islington Council and the Metropolitan Police are still ongoing as they search for a date.
But stewards, fans and club staff alike have protested that they will not work late the day before Christmas.
Sky Sports have the rights to show two Premier League matches every Sunday, which unfortunately lands on Christmas Eve this year.
Following the backlash, Premier League chief executive Richard Scudamore announced there would not be a 4pm kick-off on that day.
