The actress plays Hela in the new movie, which arrives next week on a wave of hype.
The Marvel fanbase has often discussed whether or not she could subsequently appear in the likes of Avengers: Infinity War, Avengers 4 or another movie somewhere further down the line – and Blanchett has maintained that she’s none the wiser.
Speaking to Collider, she implied that the deciding factor could be more to do with the quality of her performance than anything else.
“I don’t know. I suppose it depends what they end up with,” she said.
“You never know. I’ve had an absolute ball but it doesn’t mean my work is any good. Having fun doesn’t necessarily mean quality…

In the same interview, the star also opened up on comparisons between Hela and Loki, played by Tom Hiddleston.
“I have a vagina. And I don’t think he has a vagina,” she quipped. “Although [to be fair], I don’t know if Hela has a vagina either.
“No… but, you know, the original sketches that I got – Tom [Hiddleston] and I talked about how Loki and Hela looked very similar. And I said, ‘OK, well how can we either make that a virtue or be a little bit more creative?’”
Thor Ragnarok’s initial reactions have all been very positive so far.
The film sees the return of Chris Hemsworth, Mark Ruffalo, Idris Elba and more alongside Hiddleston, with Blanchett making her MCU debut.
