With the clock ticking down on this month’s Destiny 2 Iron Banner, Guardians have been given some news on the Token situation.
The newly launched activity is set to end on Tuesday, October 17, 10am BST and will see the map Distant Shore join the rotation for all playlists following the reset.
Unlike in Destiny 1, Iron Banner armour and weapon drops are not policed by a random drop system, but instead uses Tokens, much like in the rest of the game.
For those who don’t know, Iron Banner is a week-long Crucible event that offers unique rewards.
And while active, the Iron Banner rotates between Quickplay Crucible Game Modes, however only one Game Mode will be featured per Iron Banner event.

Control is the name of the game this month, with Lord Saladin currently offering rewards to players who rank up their reputation with him by turning in Iron Banner Tokens.
However, Bungie have now confirmed that by the end of the Destiny 2 Iron Banner event, those Tokens will disappear.
It’s much in line with the rest of Destiny 2’s endgame activity system, the Destiny 2 Raid also sees a similar rest.
Here’s the latest from Bungie: “Players should ensure that they turn in any remaining Iron Banner Tokens before Lord Saladin departs from the Tower Courtyard following the weekly reset.”
Further information on how to rack up those Destiny 2 Iron Banner Tokens can be found below:
Match Completions: Upon completing an Iron Banner Crucible match, players will be awarded with Iron Banner Tokens to turn in to Lord Saladin. While all Iron Banner match completions award tokens, wins award more tokens than losses.
Daily Challenges and Milestones: Players may earn additional Iron Banner Tokens by completing Daily Iron Banner Challenges and the Daily Iron Banner Milestone. These can be completed on each character, each day.
Seasonal Milestone: There is a Seasonal Iron Banner Milestone available to players who participate in the Iron Banner event. Progress toward this Milestone is account wide, and it can only be completed once per account.
