Harvey Weinstein investigated by British police over THREE new sex assault claims

The fresh complaints, from one alleged victim, relate to incidents in 2010, 2011 and 2015, in Westminster and Camden.

It takes the total number of allegations being investigated by the Met to four, after Merseyside Police passed a complaint dating back to the late 1980s to Scotland Yard earlier in the week.

The latest allegations came as more British women came forward to claim they were raped by Mr Weinstein.

Hollyoaks actress Lysette Anthony has told police she was attacked by the movie mogul in her London home in the late 1980s.

Ms Anthony claimed the “pathetic, revolting” attack left her “disgusted and embarrassed”.

And another unnamed former Miramax employee said the shamed producer raped her in the basement flat of his London offices in around 1992.

The woman, who cannot be named, said she only confided to her husband in the last few days after a deluge of revelations about Weinstein’s alleged behaviour.

The woman claimed she chewed raw garlic and wore tatty clothes to repel him.

She told The Mail on Sunday: “Even after all these years, I can still wake up screaming.

“I wanted the opportunity to speak out, but I just couldn’t see how.”

The latest allegations follow scores of others in the US, including four claims of rape and 30 of sexual harassment.

Hollywood stars Angelina Jolie, Gwyneth paltry and Rose McGowan are among the actresses to have made allegations.

Bafta had already suspended the producer and on Tuesday Weinstein’s wife, British designer Georgina Chapman, said she was leaving him.

And on Saturday organisers of the Oscars expelled the 65-year-old.

Announcing its decision, the Academy said the “era of wilful ignorance and shameful complicity in sexually predatory behaviour and workplace harassment in our industry is over”.
