Samsung’s Galaxy S8 is by far the best looking phone of the year.
However, at over £680 it’s also very expensive.
Now this award-winning phone could be about to get some serious competition from OnePlus.
The Chinese smartphone company has already been causing its rivals a major headache with its range of reasonably priced but high-spec devices.
The latest OnePlus 5, which launched earlier this year, includes all the features of a flagship, such as Qualcomm 835 processor and dual-lens camera, but at a much cheaper price.

Now a new leak may have revealed what OnePlus has coming next and, if true, it could give the S8 a serious run for its money.
A picture has appeared on Slashleaks which claims to reveal a new OnePlus 5T with a full edge-to-edge display.
The design looks almost identical to the Galaxy S8 and if OnePlus can produce this phone and keep the price low it could be the device to beat.
It’s unclear where the image originates from or if it is real and some are sceptical about its authenticity.
OnePlus did release an updated 3T model late last year but this only featured minor upgrades rather than a full redesign.
A recent rumour also suggested that OnePlus was skipping the idea of releasing a T model this year and, will instead, launch a OnePlus 6 early next year.
GSM Arena and Android Marvel are speculating that this new model could arrive as soon as 2018 with OnePlus clearly appearing to be keen to keep the competition on their toes.
Although the reviews for the OnePlus 5 were good some were critical that it looked too much like Apple’s iPhone and others thought it was a shame the Chinese tech firm hadn’t included an edge-to-edge screen – something this latest leaked image shows they could now be addressing.
So the OnePlus 6 may push the boundaries of design with bigger display and new features such as wireless charging and waterproof casing.
It’s currently unclear if these latest reports are true with OnePlus not usually launching new devices until the Summer.
However, the OnePlus 5 is currently out of stock in the UK and US.
This stock shortage has triggered a flurry of speculation amongst fans that OnePlus is preparing to launch a new model soon.
We’ll hopefully find out more in the coming months.
