After almost a decade, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has received almost all positive critical and financial success.
One film early on that didn’t quite work was The Incredible Hulk with Edward Norton, which saw the star replaced by Mark Ruffalo in Avengers Assemble.
Since his debut, fans have been wondering when they would see a Hulk solo movie, something Ruffalo claimed would never happen due to Universal Pictures holding the rights.
Nevertheless, the actor and Marvel producer Kevin Feige has found a way around the problem and have announced a Hulk trilogy for the Marvel Cinematic Universe – but not quite as fans might expect.
Speaking with Cinema Blend, Ruffalo revealed: “So basically, Kevin [Feige] pulled me aside before this, and said, ‘If you were gonna do a… if we were going to do a standalone Hulk movie, what would it be?’

“And he’s like, ‘I love that. Why don’t we do that in the next three movies, starting with Thor 3 and then we go into Avengers 3 and 4.’
“And I was like, ‘That sounds great!’ And so we are at the beginning of this arc.”
Speaking with Empire, Ruffalo revealed: “When we find him, he’s been Hulk for two years and now he’s the gladiator champion of Sakaar, so he’s enjoying quite a bit of fame and adulation.
“He’s also aware of being hated on Earth and feared by the Avengers, he has no interest in going back. He’s enjoying himself! [The Hulk is like] a three-year-old child.
“Yeah, he speaks now. Even though it’s somewhat rudimentary. And he can also exist without always being angry. He’s reborn. And he likes it.”
Thor: Ragnorak will be released in UK cinemas on October 24, 2017, followed by Avengers: Infinity War on April 27, 2018 and Avengers 4 on April 26, 2019.
