This Windows 10 feature is now available on your iPhone and Android phone

Microsoft is bringing its Edge web browser to iOS and Android.

The US technology company launched a beta version of the new web browser earlier this month.

Edge on iOS and Android promises to enable smartphone owners to share favourites, browsing history, reading list and eBooks with their desktop machine.

The Edge browser app can also beam your current tab to a nearby Windows 10 PC.

This lets users pick-up where they left off by seamlessly moving content between a smartphone and desktop.

Passwords are synced across devices, so logging into your favourite sites shouldn’t be an issue as you move between platforms.

Other features in the Edge browser app include a built-in QR Code Reader that pulls up information at the touch of button.

Voice Search lets you browse the web with a few easy voice commands, and InPrivate mode to keep your browsing data private.

Users can sign-up to be the first to test Edge on Android, by registering with an email address here.

The beta software was available on iOS earlier this month, however Microsoft has now exceeded Apple’s 10,000 TestFlight user limit.

“Please stay tuned for its upcoming availability in the App Store!” the Redmond-based company has posted.
