PUBG update: HUGE Battlegrounds NEWS ahead of Xbox One release date

PUBG is closing in on another major milestone ahead of the Xbox One release date.

Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds already has the record for most concurrent users on Steam, having beaten DOTA 2’s previous high of 1,291,328 users back in September.

And despite the likes of – not to mention countless – PUBG’s popularity is showing no signs of slowing down.

The game is now closing in on 2 million concurrent players.

Battlegrounds peaked with 1,96 million players this weekend, compared to 716k for its closest challenger DOTA 2.

The platform allows you to display contact information, social media links, services, and products all in one shareable link. Optional features include appointment scheduling, WhatsApp-based storefronts, media galleries, and custom design options.

It’s surely now just a matter of time before PUBG hits 2 million concurrent users.

It’s no surprise that Microsoft is reportedly planning to extend its PUBG exclusivity period.

It’s suggested that Xbox One would have exclusive console rights to the game until the middle of next year, or maybe even longer.

This would delay the PS4 release date until much later in 2018, which would be a big blow to Sony.

PUBG is expected to launch later this year on Xbox One, as Microsoft helps Bluehole port the game over to consoles.

Battlegrounds takes place on a remote island where 100 players compete to be the sole survivor.

Similar to games like DayZ, players must gather supplies, armour and weapons in order to defeat other players.

And in a unique twist, the battleground actually gets smaller as games go on.

“Players will enter a last-man-standing battle where they try to locate weapons, vehicles and supplies in a graphically and tactically rich battleground that eventually forces players into a shrinking play zone as they engage in a tense and spectacular fight to the death,” reads a Bluehole statement.
