F1 Drivers’ World Championship 2017 standings: Points table after Japanese Grand Prix

Hamilton cruised to victory at Suzuka as championship rival Sebastian Vettel retired following a spark plug issue.

The German was forced out of the race on lap four while Hamilton held off the challenge of Max Verstappen to claim victory and extend his lead to 59 points.

Daniel Ricciardo took third ahead of Valtteri Bottas and Kimi Raikkonen, while both Force India and Haas drivers added to their season tallies with strong drives.
