Two police officers were injured in the violence.
The group of anarchists gathered in the central Athens neighbourhood of Exarcheia, near the ancient Acropolis, to protest the alleged torture of a protester by police.
The incident reportedly took place on September 16 when the 16-year-old protestor was arrested after an ‘anti-fascism protest’ in the city.
He was reportedly beaten and tortured by riot cops and ended up in intensive care in Attica General Hospital in the city.
Marching towards the police headquarters, the group waved banners and chanted slogans.
