North Korea and the USA have this year been embroiled with an ever-tightening spiral of threat and counter-threat this year – and this evening Mr Trump has raised the stakes once more.
The US president hinted the time for “talking” had come and gone and instead “only one thing will work” – presumably a hint at all-out war with the hermit state.
Donald Trump took, as ever, to Twitter tonight to issue his latest threat against the rogue state, who last month he warned he could “totally destroy”.
He posted: “Presidents and their administrations have been talking to North Korea for 25 years, agreements made and massive amounts of money paid hasn’t worked, agreements violated before the ink was dry, makings fools of US negotiators.
“Sorry, but only one thing will work!”

“As far as we understand, they intend to launch one more long-range missile in the near future. And in general, their mood is rather belligerent.”
It comes after a terrifying new report warned North Korea was developing biological warfare – including weapons which could deploy smallpox, anthrax and the plague over enemy countries.

The horrifying prospect was revealed in a new report carried out by intelligence company AMPLYFI and Harvard University.
The joint ‘North Korea’s Biological Weapons Program’ report said: “North Korea could produce military-style batches of biological weapons, specifically anthrax.
“The most recent statement by the South Korean Defence Ministry is that ‘North Korea has 13 types of biological weapons which it can weaponise within 10 days’.
“And anthrax and smallpox are the likely agents it would deploy.”
