Peter Bone has urged the Government not to agree to the EU’s “absurd demands” as he claimed that the tough negotiating tactics were a way of forcing a Brexit no deal.
The Tory MP said the European elite like Jean-Claude Juncker “did not want a deal” because that would threaten the break-up of the European Union.
The astonishing claims come after today’s report that Angela Merkel and Emmanuel Macron have blocked Michel Barnier from moving talks onto a transitional deal framework.
The Conservative backbencher dismissed claims from MPs that a transitional deal was “essential” for businesses.
Speaking to Sky News, Mr Bone said: “Just today I was talking to a leading businessman who employs over 300,000 people in the UK, and he said what businesses want is certainty.

“They don’t mind if we trade on EU rules or the WTO, they just want to know which one.
“We trade on those rules with the rest of the world, so we are used to it.”
Mr Bone claimed that the government must publish its plan for a no-deal scenario, where Britain would trade with Europe on WTO rules since the EU “are scared of a deal”.
According to the reports today, Germany and France are demanding divorce bill cash from Britain before talks on a two-year transition deal go ahead.
Theresa May has admitted that her cabinet has been preparing for a no-deal scenario behind closed doors.
Germany’s biggest business lobby has already warned members to prepare for a “very hard Brexit” following the stalemate.
The Tory MP said: “I do not think the EU wants to do a deal with us.
“It’s patently absurd that way they are handling this. Money should be the last issue, not the first.
“What are you paying for? Something we know nothing about? I don’t think we will do a deal in the end.
“All these things have to go through the European Parliment. So a deal really has to be done by summer of next year.
“I just don’t think the EU wants a deal because if they did do a deal with us, the EU could be in danger of breaking up.”
Mr Bone said a Brexit deal would open up the possibility of others following suit and endanger the future of the bloc.
