The Force Awakens was generally a big hit with Star Wars fans, but the big surprise was seeing Kylo Ren murder his own father Han Solo.
With the release of The Last Jedi this Christmas, the question on many minds wonders if the smuggler is really and truly gone?
Now Ford has spoken out on the matter while promoting his new movie, Blade Runner 2049.
Speaking on Live with Kelly and Ryan, the 75-year-old star said: “He’s dead. I’d been begging to die for the cause for a couple of years.
Ford continued: “I thought, ‘Han Solo’s got no mama, got no papa, doesn’t believe in The Force.

“Well, they figured out a different idea, but it worked for them, worked for me, and they brought on some fresh horses.”
The actor was previously asked if Han Solo could return as a ghost.
Ford replied: ““I mean, I’m finished with Star Wars if Star Wars is finished with me.
“I can’t imagine it. But it is science fiction. I’d rather not [return]. You know, at this point I’d rather do something else.
“Just because it’s more interesting to do something new.”
Nevertheless Star Wars fans have the Young Han Solo movie to look forward to in May next year.
