Strictly Come Dancing is one of the most popular shows on TV and star of the show Shirley Ballas embodies everything the show stands for: glamorous and professional.
The TV star, aged 57, was born in 1960, and given the name Shirley Rich by her parents.
A professional ballroom dancer, she started on the dance floor aged just seven years old and worked her way up the ranks to specialise in the International Latin division.
In fact, so brilliant in that division – and after winning several championship titles – Shirley was dubbed The Queen of Latin on the dance scene.
The BBC star looks years younger than her actual age – 57 – and oozes style when she steps out alongside her fellow judges Darcey Bussell, Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli.

Do you know how much Shirley Ballas’ net worth is?
Shirley, who is mother to Mark Ballas, a Broadway star, is one of the most glamorous women on TV in 2017, and the star has always oozed style and sophistication.
The 57-year-old shared a throwback picture of herself on her Instagram account back in July.
It showed her dancing in the World Championship Final wearing a slinky white dress and heavy make-up.
Her nails painted a deep shade of red, the star matched her talons with a lick of red lipstick.
The picture, shared back in July on Shirley’s Instagram page, proves she’s always been uber-glam when it comes to taking the stage.
It wasn’t the only old picture Len Goodman’s replacement shared – the star posted a snap of herself on the social media site from 1977.
Aged just 17, Shirley obviously had a taste for the good life at a young age as she was pictured posing in a sequinned dress and false eyelashes.
A 1960s Audrey Hepburn-esque fringe was paired with thick black mascara and white eyeliner.
Fast-forward to 2017, Shirley became the head judge on the BBC TV show, Strictly Come Dancing, replacing Len Goodman.
Speaking about the role, she said: “I am so excited and over the moon to have been given this wonderful opportunity.
“I can’t wait to get in to the ballroom and be part of the incredible and respected judging panel.
“Strictly is so loved by the British public, I have always been a massive fan. I just can’t wait!”
