National Lottery players have reported the website down and not working ahead of the big EuroMillions draw tonight.
Users of the National Lottery site have taken to Twitter today to say the site is experiencing server issues and crashing on them.
Britons posted on Twitter error messages from the National Lottery website which says: “Please try again – We’re really busy at the moment.”
Independent website Down Detector has since 5pm today received reports from National Lottery players that the site is down.
Some 44 per cent of those affected had website issues, while 40 per cent had problems purchasing a ticket.

National Lottery players have taken to Twitter to report the issues with the site and ask the official account for the latest server update.
One player tweeted: “Once again I’m in a hurry and guess who can’t cope with their online demand? #NationalLottery. Try later?? I’ll try another game change!”
While another added: “Website is a joke… filled in slip for tonight 7 times and just returns to a blank slip & signs me out”.
And one posted: “Second time in a week I am unable to buy a ticket in line with over an hour before the window closes #poorservice”.
The official National Lottery Twitter account has been responding to customers affected this evening ahead of the EuroMillions draw.
Replying to one National Lottery player, the account tweeted: “Apologies if you’re having issues, demand is huge. If you’re able to visit a local retailer, they’re unaffected!”
This is not the first time this week that the National Lottery website has gone down.
On Tuesday gamers were left scrambling to play the EuroMillions.
Down Detector showed a huge number of reports from users saying that National Lottery is down from around 7pm that day.
According to the outage monitor, the problem seems to be affecting most of the UK.
When trying to access the site players are currently seeing the message, “This site can’t be reached, the connection was reset.”
To make matters worse there was a massive rollover with the jackpot thought to be worth over £165 million.
That has rolled over once again, which means tonight’s EuroMillions jackpot is a record – a staggering £168million is up to be won.
It’s the biggest lottery prize ever to be offered in the UK, and is more than the £161million won by Colin and Chris Weir back in 2011.
