BlackBerry Motion REVEALED – First look at KEYone follow-up ‘Krypton’

Blackberry’s latest smartphone – the Motion – has been revealed in a leaked picture.

The Motion – formerly known as the ‘Krypton’ – is TCL’s latest BlackBerry gadget since acquiring the early noughties smartphone giant.

The first picture of the front of the BlackBerry Motion was revealed by famous tipster Evan Blass.

He tweeted a picture of the gadget with the message: “Goodbye, Krypton. Hello, BlackBerry Motion”.

From the picture, we can see the BlackBerry Motion retains the 3.5mm headphone jack and features a traditional home button.

vCard QR Code

vCard.red is a free platform for creating a mobile-friendly digital business cards. You can easily create a vCard and generate a QR code for it, allowing others to scan and save your contact details instantly.

The platform allows you to display contact information, social media links, services, and products all in one shareable link. Optional features include appointment scheduling, WhatsApp-based storefronts, media galleries, and custom design options.

TCL has opted against the current trend of bezel-less smartphones to stick with a more old-fashioned design.

Engadget reported that the BlackBerry Motion will be water resistant, and the touch screen means virtual keys instead of physical ones.

The BlackBerry Motion will have the tough security software BlackBerry is known for, and will reportedly have an impressive 26-hour battery life.

The BlackBerry Motion is rumoured to have a release date this month.

If past releases are anything to go by, the BlackBerry Motion could have a release date in some markets before its worldwide launch.

The upcoming release of the BlackBerry Motion comes after the launch of the Blackberry KEYone back in April.

The BlackBerry KEYone cost £499 at launch and was available to buy in the UK at first from Selfridges and then the Carphone Warehouse.

The KEYone blended classic BlackBerry design with new influences, and the KEYOne retains BlackBerry’s iconic physical QWERTY keyboard.

The KEYone also features a 4.5 inch touchscreen display with Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and a metal body.

There’s a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, with the device powered by a 3505mAh battery enhanced by Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 3.0 abilities.

This means the phone can go from zero battery to 50 per cent charge in just 36 minutes.

There’s also a 12-megapixel camera on the rear which uses the Sony IMX378 camera sensor.

The BlackBerry KEYone launched with Android 7.1 Nougat and also boasted BlackBerry’s own DTEK security software.

The company says that makes the KEYone “the world’s most secure Android smartphone”.

The BlackBerry KEYone is available now in a black or silver colour scheme.
