The Guardians of the Galaxy star dropped a tantalising teaser about things coming to a head between the two characters, who are father and adoptive daughter.
“I’ve been sworn to secrecy,” Gillan told Den of Geek.
“But I definitely think that all of what we’ve been building towards, with all the backstories between Nebula and Thanos, is definitely going to come to a head in the Avengers film, and she’s definitely going to confront all of those traumatic memories.
“I definitely think she is going to have her moment.”
There’s certainly no love lost between the pair: it was revealed in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 that Thanos tortured and experimented on Nebula, so she’s due some payback.

A trailer was rumoured to be coming out this month – but so far has not emerged.
In other Marvel news, it’s been claimed this week that Cindy – aka Silk – could be making an Infinity War appearance.
The rumour started when actress Tiffany Espensen’s name was added to the film’s IMDB profile – which may not be that much of a giveaway, given that users are generally able to edit IMDB pages.
But the catch here is that the update was actually tweeted out by the official, verified IMDB account.
The page tweeted: “Does the name #CindyMoon mean anything to you? #AvengersInfinityWar #Marvel.”
Avengers: Infinity War is out in the spring of 2018.
