Stranger Things – Can’t wait for season 2? Then download THIS iPhone and Android game

fans are getting ready for the release of season 2 on Netflix, and ahead of the show’s return the hit series has been turned into an iPhone and Android game.

Stranger Things: The Game is available to download now from the App Store and Google Play for free.

The Stranger Things game, like the TV series, has an retro feel to it – with the graphics looking like an old 16-Bit computer game.

In the mobile game you step into the shoes of Hopper and the kids as strange goings on are happening once again in 1984 – the year season 2 is set.

Here’s the official blurb for the Stranger Things game:

• Explore Hawkins and its surroundings. See your favourite locations like Mirkwood Forest and Hawkins Lab. Uncover exciting areas you’ve never seen before!

• Solve puzzles with the unique abilities of each character. Lucas can nail anything with his Wrist Rocket. Nancy has a whole set of bats to swing this time.

• Collect all the Eggos and Gnomes you can lay your hands on. You never know what they might unlock…

The Stranger Things game has a top-down view, like a NES or SNES Zelda game, and has a old-school action adventure feel to it.

The app is free to download and looks like it’s been released to get fans in the mood for season 2.

Stranger Things season 2 will arrive on Netflix on Friday October 27. It is set one year after the events of the first season.

The second season of Stranger Things is made up of nine episodes – one more that season one.

Winona Ryder recently spoke about what it was like playing Joyce Byers in the first season of Stranger Things.

Looking back on the first run of the popular sci-fi series, the actress has revealed she was left distraught over the storyline.

Winona explained that she had to call her own mother for advice on how to play Joyce as she could not comprehend how she’d feel in that situation.

The first season of Stranger Things is about the mysterious disappearance of Will Byers – Ryders’ son in the show.

She said: ”I said, ‘Mom, if every bit of logic is telling you your kid is gone, would you [still refuse to believe it]?’

“And she said, ‘Absolutely.'”
