Star Wars GAY couple officially CONFIRMED: You won’t believe who they are

Many fans have been rooting for the plucky former Stormtrooper and his best buddy to get it together.

Ever since Finn and Poe locked panic-stricken eyes on each other in The Force Awakens, it has reignited the calls for the Star Wars universe to be more diverse.

Actors John Boyega and Oscar Isaacs have been very open to playing with the notion of a romance and Episode 7 director JJ Abrams explicitly declared that there would be more gay characters appearing in future Star Wars releases.

Since he is now in the hot seat for Episode 9 as well, fans expectations will need to be met sooner or later. In fact, it has come even sooner than expected with the latest revelation about a surprising gay couple.

An official new Star wars book tells the story of a passionate affair between a Stormtrooper and an Imperial officer.

In fact, fans have already seen the character on screen. Unlucky Stormtrooper TK-421 has a brief but memorable cameo in A New Hope. He was instrumental in helping (albeit against his will) Luke and his friends infiltrate the Death Star.

STAR WARS: WATCH TK-421’S STARRING MOMENT IN A NEW HOPE NEXT

New book Star Wars: From a Certain Point of View, is packed with 40 short stories from 40 different authors.

To celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the movie franchise, each story gives a glimpse into the lives of many secondary charcaters, some of whom only made fleeting appearances on screen.

TK-421 has one of the most unexpected tales as fans discover his affair with a high-ranking officer and how he uses their secret connection to escape to a safer life.

The story, Of MSE-6 and Men by Glen Weldon, is actually told from the point of view of G7, a MSE-6 series (or ‘mouse’) repair droid, who unwittingly becomes a go-between, helping the lovers pursue their affair.

Ironically, the first posting which moves TK-421 from direct combat duty to a ‘safer’ job guarding cargo, ends with him being ambushed and knocked out by Luke and his friends.

Does the unlucky Stormtrooper ever get his happy ending? You will have to read the book to find out…
