According to the latest Overwatch news, the game’s yearly Halloween event could return very soon.
The Halloween Terror event from last year was a hit with fans and looks set to return next week.
According to a retail leak that surfaced online, The Overwatch Halloween event launch will arrive on October 10, for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
It’s always worth taking anything that pops up online with a big pinch of salt, although it seems likely that even if this isn’t true, the actual event will be announced soon enough.
It would be in line with how things were run last year, with the Terror event starting on Tuesday, October 11.

This meant that the Overwatch Halloween run ended neatly before the big Blizzcon 2017 show, which will also host the game’s major eSports events.
Last year also saw the release of Overwatch’s first-ever co-op PvE Brawl: Junkenstein’s Revenge.
This gave players the chance to Team up with three others and face off against a host of eerie enemies, including Dr. Junkenstein himself, Junkenstein’s Monster, the Reaper, a mysterious witch, and host of shambling zomnics.
There have been no suggestions on when Blizzard could announce the launch of their latest seasonal event.
Times have varied in the past, so we could hear something later this week, or perhaps just before the event itself launches.
It will follow on from Blizzard’s recent launch of a new Overwatch digital comic.
The comic focuses on Zarya’s pursuit of Sombra, and how the popular Overwatch character comes to reassess her world view.
“Aleksandra Zaryanova is in over her head when Katya Volskaya sends her to eliminate the elusive hacker known as Sombra,” reads the official description.
“At her wit’s end, Zarya reluctantly teams up with an omnic hacker. Butting heads all the way, they hone in on their target.
“Through strife, Zarya begins to realize that she will have to reassess her worldview about omnics being uniformly evil.”
The new Overwatch comic book is available to read now by visiting the Blizzard website.
It was written by Andrew Robinson, Joelle Sellner and Kate Niemczyk, whose respective credits include Kaijudo: Rise of the Duel Masters, Womanthology and Marvel’s Mockingbird.
