Destiny 2 is going offline again this week, as Bungie performs yet another lengthy bout of server maintenance.
For the fourth week running, Destiny 2 fans won’t be able to login and play the game for an extended period of time on PS4 and Xbox One.
Destiny 2 will be down from 4pm UK time, although players already logged in will be able to continue playing until 5pm.
All players will be kicked out of the game at 5pm, as maintenance begins in earnest.
Players will be unable to connect until 8pm, which is when server maintenance is scheduled to end.

- 4pm – Destiny server maintenance is scheduled to begin. Players will no longer be able to login to Destiny 2
- 5pm – All online players will be removed from Destiny 2
- 8pm – Destiny 2 server maintenance is scheduled to end
It’s unclear if the latest bout of server maintenance will be accompanied by an update, or if there will be yet another offline period next week.
According to Bungie, players can expect an in-game notification before maintenance begins.
Bungie explains: “Occasionally, Destiny may be brought offline for scheduled or emergency maintenance, or to update the game to address gameplay issues or add in-game features.”
The Destiny 2 developer also explains what services are likely to be affected by the downtime, and how fans can keep track of what’s going on.
Destiny Companion: Sign-in functionality and other Destiny Companion services on the Mobile App, Bungie.net, and third-party sites may be restricted or unavailable during Destiny Server maintenance periods.

Interrupting Downloads: Some consoles will attempt to verify all previously downloaded content before downloading a Destiny updates. Connectivity Issues: Players encountering connectivity issues after maintenance has concluded, or that are unable to log in to Destiny when there is no planned maintenance impacting Destiny services, may need to attempt basic connectivity troubleshooting such as clearing their console cache, power cycling their network hardware, or reading through the Network Troubleshooting Guide.
