Kingsman 2: Writer defends THAT X-rated sex scene – ‘It’s pleasurable for her’

The Golden Circle features a moment in which Taron Egerton’s Eggsy is tasked with planting a tiny tracking device inside the private part of a character played by Poppy Delevingne.

His efforts are shown with a CGI-assisted camera shot that follows his hand down her body and then literally inside her.

Jane Goldman explained that it was Clara’s (Delevingne) pleasure from the encounter that made it steer clear of disaster.

“We had a conversation where I said, ’This could go so badly wrong if it’s not done right’,” she told GQ.

“It was really important to me that she was more than a willing partner, that she initiated the sexual contact, and that it’s a pleasurable encounter for her.

“During the scene, she’s kind of surprised that he leaves but she had a good time. It was really important to me that there was nothing exploitive or abusive about it.

“And not just because I would find that offensive in a movie, myself, but because Eggsy is our hero and we are supposed to root for him. I would be upset if he forced himself on someone.”

She added: “It’s really rare to see a woman ‘getting off’ in that way.

“You rarely see a woman getting sexual pleasure outside of penetrative sex, much less from a hero in a movie. That was really important!”

The new Kingsman movie may have received a lukewarm reception from critics but it has fared well at the box office; ranking at No1 in both the US and UK in its opening weekend.
