What is it?! Shock as massive SEA MONSTER washes up on Philippines beach

The gigantic 32ft beast was discovered in shallow water near Massin City on Leyte island in the Philippines.

Officials from the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources said they could not identify the creature because it was in such a bad state of decomposition.

Photographer Nujnuj Capistrano took a series of snaps when he spied the strange animal.

The stunned 42-year-old said: “I was just passing by the beach and took some photos but I don’t know about the details.

“I was surprised because it’s too big and it’s the first time I saw that kind of creature.

“I don’t know what they did with it but one thing is for sure, the creature was already dead when I saw it.

“The smell was too bad.

“I can’t describe it, but it was a bad smell.”

The 10-metre long grey beast was then hauled back out to sea by boat.

Officials said there was no room to bury it and the animal was a health hazard because of its pungent odour.

There is speculation that the body could have belonged to a whale but no one has been able to say for certain.

The bizarre discovery comes after another mystery creature washed up on a beach in Texas city.

That animal had razor-sharp teeth and an unusual cylinder-shaped body.

It is thought the creature, which may have been a fang tooth snake-eel, was brought ashore by Hurricane Harvey.
