The Swedish actor, 27, plays the frightening clown in the new Andy Muschietti horror, based on Stephen King’s novel.
In a new featurette, seen above, Chosen Jacobs – who plays Mike Hanlon – said: “He’s just so sporadic, you don’t know what he’s gonna do.”
Jack Dylan Grazer plays Eddie, and said: “When he’s up close in your face, screaming at you… it’s insane.”
And Sophia Lillis, who plays Beverly, likened him to a “demonic animal”.
Stephen King spoke out in praise of Skarsgard, saying “he did us all proud”.
