Facebook Messenger DOWN – Chat app not working thousands hit by issues

Facebook Messenger is down this morning with thousands of users of the hugely popular chat app currently unable to access the service.

It’s currently unclear what is causing the problems but some users have mentioned the app keeps crashing after updating to iOS 11.

One Apple smartphone owner reported, “When I open messenger it goes back to a black screen after a few seconds on my iPhone.”

It is not the first time in recent weeks that users reported WhatsApp down.
