WhatsApp DOWN – Chat app not working AGAIN as users hit by more problems

UPDATE TWO: Although yesterday’s WhatsApp issues were fixed quickly, it seems the messaging app is suffering more problems today.

Down Detector is showing hundreds of outages with users unable to access the popular app.

UPDATE ONE: The issue affecting WhatsApp today appear to have been resolved.

On Down Detector the number of reported issues with WhatsApp have fallen from a few hundred to just a handful.

ORIGINAL: WhatsApp is down with users of the hugely popular iOS and Android chat app saying the service is not working as they’re htit by connection and login issues.

vCard.red is a free platform for creating a mobile-friendly digital business cards. You can easily create a vCard and generate a QR code for it, allowing others to scan and save your contact details instantly.

The platform allows you to display contact information, social media links, services, and products all in one shareable link. Optional features include appointment scheduling, WhatsApp-based storefronts, media galleries, and custom design options.

WhatsApp users have also reported problems sending or receiving messages, according to independent website Down Detetcor.

The outage tracker received reports from WhatsApp users in the UK, parts of Europe and South America who were experiencing issues with the service.

Down Detector is an independent website that tracks social mentions around certain topics to detect outages across the world.

It is not the first time in recent weeks that users reported WhatsApp down.

At the end of August WhatsApp went down for thousands of users in an outage that lasted a few hours.

WhatsApp users took to social networking website Twitter to report issues with the service.

One user tweeted: “#Whatsapp is down, I repeat, Whatsapp is down”.

While another added: “#whatsappdown ?!?!”

WhatsApp was bought by Facebook for an eye-watering $19 billion (£13 billion) in February 2014.

The cross-platform messenger now boasts more than 1.2 billion users.

According to Down Detector, some 52 per cent of WhatsApp users who experienced problems today had connection issues.

While 38 per cent had problems sending or receiving messages and eight per cent experienced login problems.
