It movie: Terrifying Pennywise scene ruined by THIS internet sensation

A new Twitter account has got hold of the scene in which the spooky antagonist, played by Bill Skarsgard, dances for young Beverly.

It’s a deeply unsettling moment in the movie – but the @Pennywise_Dance account has completely flipped it on its head by playing big dance anthems over the top.

Funnily enough, the sight of Pennywise dancing to Come On Eileen is more hilarious than terrifying.

It has, incidentally, been revealed to become the highest-grossing horror movie in history.

In just two weeks it has racked up a hefty $236.3 million in the US, topping The Exorcist’s $232.9 million.

The latter film remains marginally ahead internationally – but it’s a matter of time before the record is snatched.

Andy Muschietti’s effort is a long way away from the end of its journey too: just a fortnight in to its time in cinemas, it’s still a few weeks away from disappearing from cinemas worldwide.

The sequel to It is planned for an estimated release of 2019, with the cast behind the (surviving) popular characters all expected to return.

Muschietti said the script should be finished in early 2018, with pre-production beginning in the spring.

It is out now.
