Video footage taken from one of the jihadis’ head cams shows the fanatics becoming increasingly worried about the position of an armoured vehicle belonging to Syrian government forces.
One soldier can be heard asking where the tank is, to which another replies: “Over there, the tank will bomb us.”
The group tries to speed off out of the range of the tank, which remains off-camera throughout the clip.
One of the ISIS fighters calls for anti-tank units to come to their rescue.
“Anti-tanks, who hears me respond? Anti-tanks, do you hear me?” he says.
His shouts become increasingly frantic, as gunfire rings out close by.
Suddenly there is a flash of light and a loud explosion.
The camera tumbles as sparks and smoke fill the screen, and cries off agony can be heard.
It is not known when or where exactly the footage was taken.
ISIS is said to be on the brink of defeat in what was once it’s de facto Syrian capital of Raqqa.
The terror cell’s self-declared “caliphate” in Iraq effectively collapsed in July, when US backed Iraqi forces captured Mosul.
