It was also confirmed that fans wouldn’t need to wait long for the release date of the Square Enix RPG, as it was also confirmed that FFIX would be hitting the PlayStation Store today.
Currently that’s only confirmed for the Japan region, however, a further announcement is expected on the launch for the rest of the world.
It was rumoured that something might be announced today during the TGS conference, after The Pan European Gaming Information board (PEGI) was revealed to have rated Final Fantasy IX for PS4.
Fans will have to wait to find out what port of Final Fantasy IX this will prove to be, as either the PC port of HD Remaster could be options.
