SNES Classic Mini pre-order UPDATE – Pre-order stock hits Amazon

The Nintendo Classic Mini: Super Nintendo Edition has been selling out literally within minutes whenever pre-order stock has become available.

And European gamers got another chance to pre-order the SNES Classic Mini earlier today when stock became available at Amazon Germany.

Stock became available in two different batches from around 9.30am BST at Amazon Germany, and each time sold out within minutes.

It marks the most recent SNES Classic Mini pre-order stock that has hit Amazon in the past few weeks.

Recently, Amazon France and Amazon Spain also opened SNES Classic Mini pre-orders which sold out fast

It may have caught fans off guard who have only been monitoring UK sites in the hope that SNES Classic Mini pre-order stock would drop.

Fans hoping to grab a pre-order should check out Amazon’s other websites, and if product pages for the SNES Classic Mini are available sign it would be worth signing up for stock notifications.

That way you can get a head start if stock does become available again ahead of the September 29 release date.

Over the weekend Smyths Toys also opened SNES Classic Mini pre-orders, but these sold out within minutes.

They also opened SNES Classic Mini pre-orders today, but these sold out in less than a minute.

Import specialists Play Asia have also said they will be opening SNES Classic Mini pre-orders soon.

They will be selling the European, Japanese, Australian and American versions of the Nintendo Classic Mini: Super Nintendo Edition.

The SNES Classic Mini has a number of different differences between regions. The US, UK and Australian versions all have the exact same games.

However while the UK and Australian versions look the same – the US version retains the original (and different) box-like design of the Super Famicom.

The Japanese version though, while featuring the same design of the UK and Australian version, has a slightly different games list.

The UK, US and Australian games list includes the likes of Earthbound, Kirby’s Dream Course, Super Castlevania 4 and Super Punch-Out!!

But these games aren’t available in Japan, where they’ll be replaced by Fire Emblem: Mystery of the Emblem, The Legend of Mystical Ninja, Panel de Pon and Super Soccer.

Japanese fans also get Super Street Fighter 2: The New Challengers, which has more characters than European SNES Mini release Street Fighter 2 Turbo: Hyper Fighting.

Nintendo recently boosted fans hopes about the number of SNES Classic Mini stock that will be available after launch.

Ninty revealed that they will now be shipping the SNES Classic Mini into 2018, whereas they had previously planned to cancel it at the end of 2017.

But most interestingly, Nintendo revealed how much SNES Classic Mini stock will be available at launch day.

Nintendo said on launch day in the US there will be more SNES Classic Mini stock that the NES Classic Mini had in the entire of last year.

They added that there will be “subsequent shipments arriving in stores regularly.”

This will surely be music to fans ears, and hopefully means there will be plenty of stock for gamers hoping to get a SNES Classic Mini on launch day.

Also, if that much stock will be available in the US on launch day, then it hopefully bodes well for stock availability in other regions.
