Frankie Bridge: Five things I can’t live without

1) Spotify

When I was growing up there was always music playing at home and I can’t imagine living in silence.

As a child my favourite band was Take That and I used to listen to them all the time.

I remember being too young to go to one of their concerts and feeling absolutely devastated as I watched them perform on television instead.

Gary, Robbie and the rest of the crew really did inspire me to become a pop star.

These days I enjoy all sorts of music and I love Spotify as it means I can listen to exactly what I want, whenever I want, which is great.

2) A toothbrush

I am absolutely fastidious about cleaning my teeth as there is nothing worse than bad breath and when I’m at home I use an electric toothbrush.

When I am out working I always have a spare toothbrush with me as you never know when you might want to freshen up.

3) The Maldives

Anyone who has young children will appreciate just how important it is to have some grown-up time every now and again.

In January, Wayne and I spent two wonderful weeks in the Maldives together and I fell in love with the islands.

They are stunningly beautiful and I can honestly say that I have never felt as relaxed as I did during that holiday.

It is one of those magical places where all your stresses and worries just seem to evaporate. Holidays are incredibly important but as both our boys suffer from motion sickness, we aren’t planning to take them on long-haul flights quite yet.

Instead we’re looking forward to some traditional bucket-and-spade breaks with them here in Britain.

4) Family

Wayne and I are both incredibly lucky to come from tight-knit and supportive families.

Both sets of parents are incredibly hands-on with the boys and they are always eager to help, which makes a big difference to our lives.

The boys adore their grandparents and the fact that they’re so involved means that Wayne and I can still have a social life and go out together.

My older sister Tor is amazing with Parker and Carter too and they absolutely love her.

Although I have to say she is rather good at revving them up into a frenzy of excitement and then disappearing home but I guess that is an auntie’s prerogative.

5) Water

I’m an absolutely hopeless drinker and since having children my tolerance has dropped to such a pitiful level that I barely bother with alcohol any more.

Instead when I am out I tend to stick to Diet Coke or wine diluted with lemonade but the rest of the time all I drink is water.

In fact I am strangely obsessed with the stuff and always have a bottle with me wherever I go as the thought of suddenly becoming thirsty makes me really rather panicky.

I guess though as far as addictions go it’s probably not a bad one to have. l Frankie Bridge is supporting the #FeelSuper Campaign, raising funds for Marie Curie.
