Sex news: Doctors reveal most dangerous sex positions – and missionary is number TWO

Bedroom behaviour has come with a danger warning in this new study.

Titled ‘Relationship between sexual position and severity of penile fracture’, the research analysed the varying levels of risk attached to different sex positions.

Doctors from the International Journal of Impotence Research examined the most dangerous sex positions for men.

Coming in at the top of the list was the ‘doggy style’ position, which accounted for 41 per cent of penile fracture cases.

The missionary position came in second place, causing 25 per cent of penile fracture cases.

It was followed by ‘woman on top’ in third.

Authors of the study said: “We do not observe differences between the severity of the penile fracture between the ‘doggy style’ and ‘man-on-top’, but the ‘doggy style’ had more severity of penile fracture when compared with ‘woman-on-top’.”

Researchers examined 90 patients who had been diagnosed with penile fractures to collect their data.

The first sign of a broken penis during sex is a cracking sound followed by a searing pain.

As a result, the penis starts swelling a lot and a bruise is formed.

Not all bending trauma needs surgery. It can also be treated by icing the penis and getting lots of rest.

But it’s important to see a doctor regardless, because of the risk of long-term damage if the injury is not treated properly.
