Mohammed Ali opponent insists on ‘sports diplomacy’ to deal with Kim Jong-un and BLASTS US

The Japanese legend was treated to a zoo visit, ginseng wine, and nuclear diplomacy, according to a recent interview.

Inoki played the role of messenger boy between the world and North Korea when he told reporters: “Pyongyang will continue its nuclear testing and take it to a higher level unless the global community, especially the US, stops applying pressure.”

After concluding his 32nd visit, Inoki revealed that he had been approached by officials from Japan’s Foreign Ministry for advice after he had finished playing nice with Kim Jong-un.

This has cemented the former wrestler’s belief that “Japan should take a role as mediator between the US and North Korea.”

As the only country to ever have experienced the full destructive nature of nuclear weapons, Inoki believes that it is only fitting that Japan takes on duties to prevent the further use of these weapons in the future.

Inoki is currently having more luck facing off toe to toe with Kim Jong-un than he did with Muhammad Ali back in 1976 when the wrestler was pummelled long before the dictator had taken power and insisted on provoking the world with nuclear arms.

The 74-year-old member of Japan’s parliament has habitually visited North Korea since 1995 and has developed a strong relationship with the tension provoking nation similar to that of US star Dennis Rodman who has also visited North Korea with regularity.

The former wrestler has iterated that he intends to “establish peace through sports diplomacy.” The decidedly strange relationship with former sports stars and North Korea could be the key to dispelling tension with North Korea.

The harmonious relationship between Inoki and North Korea resulted in the former informing the press that top officials in North Korea want to engage in dialogue with the rest of the world, but in the face of demonstrable force from the United States, the country has turned to developing nuclear weapons.

Alarm over North Korea’s nuclear program is increasing by the day with the country firing another unidentified missile towards Japan on Thursday.

With Muhammad Ali dead, it seems as though the world is counting on Dennis Rodman and Antonio Inoki to stop World War Three.

It follows North Korea firing a missile eastwards over the Hokkaido region before landing in the Pacific Ocean.

The missile is estimated to have travelled 2300 miles (3,700 km) from its launch site in Pyongyang, meaning it was capable of striking the US territory of Guam.

Warning announcements were broadcast over loudspeakers in the town of Kamaishi, Japanese broadcaster NHK reported.

Japan’s Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga said: “These repeated provocations on the part of North Korea are impermissible and we protest in the strongest words.”
