Blade Runner: WHY did Harrison Ford PUNCH Ryan Gosling on set? ‘It was totally his fault’

Don’t mess with Harrison Ford.

Whether he is playing Indiana Jones, Han Solo or growling and scrapping through countless other roles, he is an old-school brawler.

Ford returns as Dekker in the sci-fi sequel with Gosling as a new cop, Officer K.

He just admitted that even after slugging Gosling hard on the Blade Runner 2049 set, he offered him a single shot of scotch to make amends but walked off with the rest of the bottle.

He also blamed Gosling for the punch in the first place.

Ford said: “I punched Ryan Gosling in the face. Ryan Gosling’s face was where it should not have been.”

“His job was to be out of the range of the punch. My job was also to make sure that I pulled the punch. But we were moving, and the camera was moving, so I had to be aware of the angle to the camera to make the punch look good.

“You know, I threw about a hundred punches in the shooting of it, and I only hit him once.“

The interview in GQ asked Ford whether he thought Gosling should be more appreciative of the lack of more punches.

Ford answered: “I have pointed that out. I mean, I suppose it’s 90 percent his fault.”

It certainly sounds like he is on fighting form for his long-awaited this time around.

He was also unimpressed that Gosling had revealed his disappointment at only getting a single shoot of alcohol in compensation.

Ford added: “What? Did he f***ing expect the whole bottle? You know, I figured one drink would fix it. That was enough.”

The sequel to the 1982 original also stars Jared Leto, Robin Wright, Dave Bautista, Mackenzie Davis and Ana de Armas.
