50p worth £450: Do you have this rare coin selling for HUNDREDS on Ebay in your wallet?

The 50p coin, with an image of the iconic hedgehog character on the front, is selling for far more than it’s over-the-counter value.

Two sellers are currently selling the coin, one for £300 and one for £450.

That’s an impressive 900 times it original value.

You would have to be very foolish to accidentally spend this coin.

One seller writes underneath the item: “Very rare 2016 Mrs Tiggywinkle 50p coin. Used condition, I received it in change.”

This coin was the fourth coin in a series that celebrate some of UK writer Beatrix Potter’s best loved characters.

They were minted more than 100 years after the books were published, along with their illustrations that have charmed the nation ever since – also created at Beatrix Potter’s hand.

The Tale of Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle was published in October 1905.

It tells the story of a little girl Lucie, who somehow wanders into Mrs Tiggy-Winkle’s house.

The surreal experience turns out to be a dream – or does it?

Another rare coin worth a mint is a £2 coin that could earn you £30.

The coin was minted in 2002 to celebrate the XVII Commonwealth Games in Manchester.

The two pound coin shows a figure waving a flag in the centre.

Thanks to the small circulation of the coin it is worth ten times it value, so one collector says.

Experts have revealed more rare coins that could make you money if you find them.

Some of these coins can fetch hundreds, even as much as £800, so a little time taken to inspect change could be worthwhile.
