The four paragraph report said that the sanctions from the “US and its vassal forces” were “harsher than ever”.
The Foreign Ministry of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea’s report said: “The adoption of another illegal and evil ‘resolution on sanctions’ piloted by the US served as an occasion for the DPRK to verify that the road it chose to go down was absolutely right and to strengthen its resolve to follow this road at a faster pace without the slightest diversion until this fight to the finish is over.”
Pyongyang promised to “redouble the efforts” to develop a nuclear arsenal after the “unprecedented sanctions and pressure”.
North Korea claimed the United States’s plan to conquer North Korea with the help of nuclear weapons had become “clearly evident”.
The report said: “The DPRK will redouble the efforts to increase its strength to safeguard the country’s sovereignty and right to existence and to preserve peace and security in the region by establishing the practical equilibrium with the US.”

UN resolution 2375 was dismissed as a “product of heinous provocation aimed at depriving the DPRK of its legitimate right for self-defence and completely suffocating its state and people through full-scale economic blockade”.
Donald Trump claimed the new sanctions were only a “small step” and promised more would be done.
President Trump said: ”We think it’s just another very small step, not a big deal.
“I don’t know if it has any impact, but certainly it was nice to get a 15-to-nothing vote, but those sanctions are nothing compared to what ultimately will have to happen.”
But a defiant North Korea said that the US would “suffer the greatest pain ever experienced in its history” for the role it has played in creating the UN sanctions.
The comments were made by North Korea’s Ambassador to the United Nations after the UN adopted a watered-down US-draft resolution on sanctions.
The resolution bans North Korea from importing all natural gas liquids and all textile exports. All countries are also banned from giving new work permits workers from the country.
UN Ambassador Han said North Korea is “ready to use a form of ultimate means”.
