Barcelona news: Gonzalo Higuain SWEARS at Nou Camp fans after being subbed by Juventus

Higuain, who used to play for Barcelona’s bitter rivals Real Madrid, put in a poor performance as Lionel Messi ran riot last night.

The Argentinian striker was substituted late on and replaced by midfielder Fabrizio Caligara.

As Higuain came off the pitch he was met with loud boos and catcalls from the Barcelona supporters.

And the 29-year-old responded by sticking his middle finger up at fans in the stadium.

But The Sun say Higuain could face punishment by UEFA for his actions, which were caught by the TV cameras.

Higuain was a target for the home crowd throughout the match, which saw Messi scored twice and Ivan Rakitic grab the other.

That was because of the forward’s time at Real Madrid, where he spent seven seasons before leaving for Napoli in 2013.

Higuain has now endured a miserable run of form against Barcelona, going 12 games without scoring against them.

He failed to hit the net 10 times during El Clasico games and has drawn another two blanks since joining Juventus.

And with last season’s Champions League runners-up second best to Barcelona on this occasion, his frustrations got the better of him.

Higuain has scored two goals in five games this season and recently spoke about the importance of his behaviour.

“On a human level, I would prefer to be a good father to my child, when the time comes that I have one, and to be a good man,” Higuain told The Guardian.

“When you do good things outside in your life, then work will repay you.

“When you do bad things outside in your life, then it’s hard for your work to go well.”
