For months she has been hard at work on new biopic Padmavati, which has been an eventful shoot to say the least.
The obstacles clearly aren’t clear just yet – with news that the film’s release has been delayed.
Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s period drama was originally intended to be released in November, but has faced numerous troubles; from vandals on the set to rumours of Padukone sustaining an injury.
Now DNA reports that the November 17 launch date will not be met.
Instead, the film is rumoured to be impacting in February 2018.

“SLB had an October 20 deadline, which is impossible to meet now,” a source explained.
“The workers’ strike took away a few important days. Meanwhile, two of the principal actors — Deepika and Shahid (Kapoor) — also had free dates, so they took off on vacations.
“A lot of the shoot is still left. The major chunk may have been shot, but some big action sequences are still left.
“Ranveer (Singh)’s portions as the young Alauddin Khilji, too, remain to be shot.”
Will the ongoing spotlight on the movie stoke the hype machine, or diminish the excitement? Time will tell.
For now, Padukone is also expected to return for xXx 4 in the near future.
