State media Rodong Sinmun released a statement today condemning the South Koreans as “puppet forces” and “traitors”, accusing their rivals of aggressive actions and “begging their American master to deploy more nuclear strategic assets”.
It also said that the US would not help them in the event of a conflict between North Korean and South Korea.
The statement comes amid rapidly increasing tensions between the US and North Korea and growing fears Kim Jong-un could soon launch another intercontinental ballistic missile in defiance of international pressure.
Adding to the fears, Pyongyang wrote the danger of war on the Korean Peninsula “is worse than the North Korea – US showdown in the 1990s.”
It also said that its H-bomb test was “to cope with the US threat of aggression.”

The statement added: “[South Korea] are sadly mistaken if they think that the US will protect south Korea, suffering big casualties and huge material losses.
“It is a foolish act to take part in a war which they have no chance of winning.
“The puppet warmongers should not gamble over the fate of the south Korean people.”
North Korea today rejected a UN Security Council resolution to slap sanctions on North Korea following its sixth nuclear test.
The defiant nation “categorically rejected” the resolution, saying the United States was “fired up” for confrontation and would soon face the “greatest pain” it had ever experienced.
North Korea said its recent September 3 test was of an advanced hydrogen bomb and was its most powerful yet by some margin.
