Destiny 2 SERVERS DOWN: Bungie takes game offline, leaving fans unable to connect

Destiny 2 servers will be taken down for maintenance on PS4 and Xbox One, Bungie has confirmed.

The 2 server status won’t make good reading for fans, as Bungie takes the game offline just a week after release.

With the exception of players who are already logged in, fans will be unable to connect to the Destiny 2 servers from 3pm UK time until 7pm BST.

If you’re logged in before the maintenance, you will be able to continue playing until 4pm UK time, at which point you’ll be kicked out.

According to Bungie, players can expect an in-game notification before maintenance begins.

vCard.red is a free platform for creating a mobile-friendly digital business cards. You can easily create a vCard and generate a QR code for it, allowing others to scan and save your contact details instantly.

The platform allows you to display contact information, social media links, services, and products all in one shareable link. Optional features include appointment scheduling, WhatsApp-based storefronts, media galleries, and custom design options.

Bungie explains: “Occasionally, Destiny may be brought offline for scheduled or emergency maintenance, or to update the game to address gameplay issues or add in-game features.”

The Destiny 2 developer also explains what services are likely to be affected by the downtime, and how fans can keep track of what’s going on.

Destiny Companion: Sign-in functionality and other Destiny Companion services on the Mobile App, Bungie.net, and third-party sites may be restricted or unavailable during Destiny Server maintenance periods.

BungieHelp Twitter: On days in which Destiny is receiving an Update or Server Maintenance, players can follow @BungieHelp on Twitter for updates on the process and timeline for the server maintenance or update deployment.

Interrupting Downloads: Some consoles will attempt to verify all previously downloaded content before downloading a Destiny updates. If any issues are found, or the verification process is interrupted, all previous content will be deleted and downloaded once more. For more information, please see our Updating Destiny Guide.

Connectivity Issues: Players encountering connectivity issues after maintenance has concluded, or that are unable to log in to Destiny when there is no planned maintenance impacting Destiny services, may need to attempt basic connectivity troubleshooting such as clearing their console cache, power cycling their network hardware, or reading through the Network Troubleshooting Guide.

It’s likely Bungie is getting things ready for the Destiny 2 Raid, which is titled Leviathan.

For those who are new to Destiny 2, Raids are one of the game’s biggest endgame activities, offering players some seriously rare loot.

Anybody wishing to tackle the Raid will need a , according to Bungie.

Bungie has warned that past the 260 Power Level, most upgrades will come from weekly activities like Flashpoints, Nightfalls, Call To Arms, Raids, Trials, and Clan rewards.
