West Ham v Huddersfield: Express Sport brings you LIVE coverage from the London Stadium
18:58: I’ve just seen someone on Twitter saying they’ve come over from Las Vegas to watch tonight’s match. He’s asked West Ham NOT ruin his last day in England. I’m not sure they do requests, buddy.
18:55: We’ve got those starting XI’s arriving any moment now folks.
18:50: I forgot to mention that I’ve created a poll (because I go the extra mile) so that you can vote on whether West Ham should sack Slaven Bilic or not.
Lemme know and I’ll go tell Sullivan & Gold what we’ve decided!

18:45: Sorry if I’ve been a little too focused on West Ham folks, but in truth, everything’s looking pretty darn pretty at Huddersfield. Or sehr gut as Wagner might say. That C in GCSE German is coming in handy…
The Terriers occupy the dizzy heights of sixth place in the table after taking seven points from their first three games and they will head for the capital chasing a fourth straight clean sheet.
David Wagner’s side are only the second newly-promoted team not to concede a goal in their first three Premier League matches. Only five sides have done so in their opening four games of the season.
TWITTER ROUND-UP
Josh: Huge game for West Ham tonight, another defeat and Slaven Bilic could be the next Premier League Manager out the door.
Jodi: Would be lovely if West Ham won their first game of the season tonight. No points on the board just doesn’t seem right.
Dave: London Stadium-bound for another 90 minutes of pulling my hair out. COYI.
18:35: How did Slaven Bilic respond? He responded exactly like we all did – by laughing!
“There have been some issues. It was funny for me to read some of those comments. It made me laugh,” the Hammers manager said with a smile.
“But I wanted the player, Carvalho. We kept it low profile for the whole summer and it looked promising. What I know is West Ham spoke to Sporting Lisbon and told them we wanted the player.
“But for me to say something about that – I’m not afraid of saying my opinion but that is not the way I work. I don’t want to talk publicly about dirty laundry.”
18:30: Come on then, we have to talk about the Bruno de Carvalho’s recent comments.
Sporting Lisbon and West Ham have been involved in an unseemly exchange since the transfer window closed over the Hammers’ failed attempt to sign Portugal midfielder William Carvalho.
Sporting’s accusation that West Ham joint-chairman David Sullivan lied about making a bid for Carvalho has led to the threat of legal action from West Ham, before the Portuguese club’s president Bruno de Carvalho labelled Sullivan and fellow Hammers chief David Gold the ‘dildo brothers’.
18:25: Analysis from our reporter Joe Short, at the London Stadium.
It’s the first match back at the London Stadium for West Ham after last season’s pretty drop campaign.
The Hammers won just nine Premier League games here last term.
The pitch and the seats are back to their previous state following the World Athletics Championships this summer – what Slaven Bilic would give to have his team firing as they did at the back end of last season.
West Ham have started dreadfully this season, losing all three of their matches.
Huddersfield, meanwhile, have romped to seven points and are desperately racking up the results during what is a relatively tame list of opening fixtures considering what they could have had.
The Terriers boast wins over Crystal Palace and Newcastle plus a draw with Southampton. Forty points is their target and a win tonight would have them a quarter of the way there.
18:20: Another manager under pressure is Slaven Bilic.
The Hammers host high-flying Huddersfield tonight desperate for a first win of the season to lift themselves off the foot of the Premier League.
Furthermore, Bilic’s relationship with joint chairman David Sullivan (or one-half of the dildo brothers as the Sporting Lisbon chief Bruno de Carvalho remarked) has nosedived following a shambolic end to the transfer window.
We’ll get stuck into that shortly.
18:15: Good evening folks, welcome to our LIVE coverage of West Ham v Huddersfield from the London Stadium.
I hope everyone’s feeling alright on this cold and rainy Monday.
One man who’s probably endured a worse Monday than most is Frank de Boer, who was sacked 77 days after succeeding Sam Allardyce at Crystal Palace.
The Dutchman now boasts the unwanted title of the shortest ever managerial reign in the Premier League.
But on the bright side, it’s a new personal best – smashing his 85-day appointment as Inter Milan boss by almost two weeks!
Every cloud…
PREVIEW
