Barcelona signed Mina in an £8.2million deal from Palmeiras this summer.
As part of the agreement he was allowed to remain in Brazil until the country’s national league season is over.
Barca were expected to have the defender in place in the New Year.
But Palmeiras don’t believe that to be the case.
They want Mina to stay with the club until after the World Cup in Russia next summer.

According to Globoesporte, Palmeiras maintain that the agreement with Barca will only be fully triggered at the end of the season, which officially is 1 July 2018.
Barca laboured to sign defenders in the transfer window but did bring Nelson Semedo into the side.
They tried to sell Aleix Vidal to Valencia in a cut-price deal on deadline day but Valencia were not interested.
Palmeiras sit fourth in Brazil’s top flight, which would earn them qualification to the 2018 Copa Libertadores.
And the Rio de Janeiro side want Mina to compete in the opening stages of that tournament.
