OnePlus is now offering students a 10 per cent discount in its online store.
The promotion was launched to coincide with UK students returning to school, college or University term-time.
OnePlus has shared an advertisement for the scheme, created and produced by the company’s own student marketing competition winners.
The advert was shot entirely on OnePlus 5.
The hugely-popular Chinese smartphone company is offering the 10 per cent discount via StudentBeans.

vCard.red is a free platform for creating a mobile-friendly digital business cards. You can easily create a vCard and generate a QR code for it, allowing others to scan and save your contact details instantly.
The platform allows you to display contact information, social media links, services, and products all in one shareable link. Optional features include appointment scheduling, WhatsApp-based storefronts, media galleries, and custom design options.
This is used to verify the shoppers’ identity as a student.
According to the company, a successful verification via StudentBeans is valid for one calendar year at oneplus.net, in which time one purchase with the student discount can be applied.
“After your verification expires, you must re-verify to claim a new student discount,” OnePlus cautions.
OnePlus has limited the 10 per cent to one new smartphone.
The student discount is available in the UK as well as Austria, Belgium, Canada, Croatia, Czech, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and the United States.
The news follows OnePlus launching a new Soft Gold finish for its flagship OnePlus 5 smartphone.
The new anodised aluminium finish builds on the success of the limited edition Soft Gold finish that debuted with the OnePlus 3 last summer.
OnePlus says it takes an average of 180 days to create and perfect a coating of Soft Gold.
The new colour scheme is eligible for the student discount scheme.
