Kelly Clarkson new single: LISTEN to Love So Soft as comeback album is CONFIRMED

The material marks the original American Idol winner’s first output with Atlantic Records, which she joined after fulfilling her obligations to RCA.

‘Love So Soft’ is the lead single from new album ‘The Meaning of Life’, and is out now – listen below.

The LP follows on October 27, but the artwork has been released already; and shows the megastar in the midst of a high-note.

‘Move You’, another song from the record, is also out today.

Clarkson made her chart debut in 2002 with her winner’s single A Moment Like This, which later rose to prominence in the UK when covered by Leona Lewis.

On our shores, she has scored nine Top 10 singles, including one number one in the form of 2009’s My Life Would Suck Without You.

She’s also released six ‘regular’ studio albums, as well as one Christmas collection and a Greatest Hits set.

Her best-selling record remains 2004’s Breakaway, which spawned the anthemic Since U Been Gone, Behind These Hazel Eyes and Because Of You.

She faces stiff chart competition this week: not only is she debuting new material, but Zayn, Sam Smith and George Michael also have new songs out.

Ex-Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle is due to release a new track tomorrow, September 8, too.

The Meaning of Life by Kelly Clarkson is out October 27.
