The Nintendo Classic Mini: Super Nintendo Edition has been selling like hot cakes, with pre-order getting snapped up with minutes in the UK and US.
Recently, the SNES Classic Mini became available to pre-order in the US after a wait of almost two months.
And SNES Classic Mini pre-orders have now returned to the UK after a period of around a month without any stock available in Britain.
Yesterday ShopTo started taking pre-orders for the SNES Classic Mini, with the pint-sized console priced at £79.85.
Stock was released in a number of batches, but each time sold out in a matter of minutes.
While these past few days Smyths Toys have started taking pre-orders again for the SNES Classic Mini on their website.
The mini console is priced at £79.99, with the latest batch of stock becoming available earlier today.
It looks like SNES Classic Mini stock is filtering back to the UK ahead of the big release date on September 29 2017.
Express.co.uk would advise users to go to all the major retailers that have the SNES Classic Mini listed and set-up stock alerts.
If you get push notifications for your e-mails, then you’ll be able to react quickly once SNES Classic Mini pre-order stock becomes available.
And if you have accounts already set-up on these websites, then that will be one other step you won’t need to worry about completing when stock drops.
The SNES Classic Mini comes loaded with 21 classic 16-Bit games that are playable in glorious HD.
UK fans will be able to play a number of classic SNES games that did not get a release in Britain.
These games are Super Mario RPG, Earthbound and Final Fantasy III (which is actually Final Fantasy VI).
Over the weekend Express.co.uk reported how SNES Classic Mini fans in the US were left fuming after reportedly having pre-orders cancelled.
SNES Classic Mini fans on the miniSNES Reddit page said Walmart were cancelling pre-orders for some customers.
Redditors said the pre-orders were being cancelled when customers pre-ordered more than one SNES Classic Mini.
Walmart later confirmed that they are cancelling duplicate orders for the SNES Classic Mini.
In a statement, they said: “Customers who recently pre-ordered the SNES Classic from Walmart.com will receive the console after it launches later this month.
“Because we want to make sure as many customers as possible have the chance to purchase this highly-sought after item, there is a one unit per customer limit on SNES pre-orders.
“We did experience a temporary issue which allowed more than one item per customer to be ordered.
“We emailed customers who ordered multiple units to let them know we plan to ship them one SNES Classic and that we’ve canceled the extra units they ordered.”
SNES Classic Mini fans on the Reddit page have also said some Target orders placed through shipping company Borderfree were being cancelled.
But they reported receiving a $25 money off voucher in compensation for having their order cancelled.
While NinMobileNews also claimed that Amazon were cancelling some SNES Classic Mini pre-orders.
These cancelled orders allegedly are for customer outside the Contiguous states in the US, including Hawaii.
